Not worth it
I was quite disappointed with the Explorers Pass and definitely don't think my savings were worth the time I spent queuing to get tickets to the various activities. I chose to use the pass for the following: Top of the Rock - had to go earlier in the afternoon to get the tickets and book a slot (could not be done over the phone) for later that evening (wanted to see the sunset at 7:30) Statue of Liberty/Elis island - You had to queue to buy the tickets from the ticket-booth in Battery park and then queue (it took about an hour at 10:30 a.m. and the queue got even longer after that) to board the ferry. Woodbury Common - I called from the hotel and booked (this was easy) 9/11 Memorial museum - same queue as everyone else purchasing tickets (about a 20 min wait) Harbor light cruise - again had to wait in the same line as everyone else buying tickets on the spot Overall I found it quite frustrating that although I tried to be organised before my trip I still ended up having to queue with everyone buying tickets on the spot. I was under the impression that we would be granted a fast track but that wasn't the case (if I'm not mistaken this is however possible with the City Pass). I would definitely not recommend and I believe you save a lot of time if you get one of the other passes.
